We are looking to work with local farmers on growing arrangements for the coming seasons. The idea is simple: work together to find an arrangement that suits your farm, fits with your existing operation, gives you a reliable cropping opportunity for the years ahead, and gives us a reliable supply of quality feed.
Future Feeds has invested in a specialist hay dryer so baled hay can be dried under more controlled conditions. This gives us more security when field drying alone is not enough and helps reduce risk around harvest.
Less of the outcome rests on hitting one narrow run of ideal drying weather.
The dryer provides growers with greater flexibility, ensuring hay can be brought to the right moisture level even when drying conditions aren't perfect.
Being able to bale the hay at a higher moisture results in less leaf loss and higher yields.

We would rather start with the needs on your farm, then work out whether there is a practical way for Future Feeds to fit around them.
If part of the crop needs to stay on farm for your own stock, that can be part of the conversation.
Where timing, crop and season allow, grazing does not automatically have to disappear from the paddock.
We can talk through which cuts may suit Future Feeds and what arrangement makes sense for the block.
Come and see us at the Ellesmere A&P Show for a chat about a paddock you have in mind and whether growing for Future Feeds could work for you. Come and check out the dryer too — kick the tyres and have a look around!
Send through the basics and the Future Feeds team can take a look and give you a call.
A few details is enough to start the conversation.
